Equipserv UK will not offer you a fixed set of solutions but will address your specific needs and identify a plan that is best for you. We have a range of service plans to suit all needs and requirements from fully comprehensive plans, to bespoke break down repair plans. See our full range of plans below.

Service Plan - Pre-Planned Maintenance (PPM)

The Service Plan will be designed specifically for the type of equipment to be maintained ensuring full compliance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and the safe operation of the equipment.

The plan will include, on authorisation from the customer, planned schedule service visits per annum at pre-agreed dates delivered against pre-defined service inspection tasks specific to the equipment type, its operational environment and designed application, at a fixed price, invoiced on sign off and completion of each service inspection.

The service visits will be inclusive of travel to site, labour, lubrication, minor adjustments and the completion of engineers’ inspection reports identifying and reporting on any repairs, malfunctions or safety issues that require action to safeguard the equipment’s integrity in terms of its efficiency and safe operation.

Any remedial/repair work which is identified as a result of the service inspections and cannot be remedied by minor adjustments will NOT be covered under the Service Plan, however Equipserv UK Ltd will provide the customer with full details and costs of the work required and request authorisation in the form of a purchase order number before proceeding with the work.

Any repair work which is thought to compromise the safe operation of the equipment will be reported immediately to the responsible operational management on site before the equipment is returned back to operation.

Typically inclusions under this type of plan would be:

  • Authorised planned service visits specific to the equipment type which will include completion of predefined service inspection check lists covering:
    • Operational Safety Inspection
    • Electrical Inspection
    • Mechanical Inspection
    • Hydraulic Inspection
    • Equipment Functional Testing
    • Quarterly Asset Condition Assessments
  • Assessing and reporting on non-compliance with operator duties detailed in the equipment’s operations and maintenance manual.
  • Evaluating and reporting on any customer misuse or equipment damage
  • On customer’s authorisation, Equipserv UK Ltd will schedule and carry out any remedial work or repairs identified from the service inspection, which will be charged at agreed rates
  • Customer authorised breakdowns will be scheduled during normal working hours at the agreed rates Monday to Friday unless requested by the customer when agreed out of hours charges will be incurred
  • Equipserv UK Ltd will make available copies of all relevant maintenance documentation and supporting data defined in Service Plan on request from the customer.
  • All serviceable and non-serviceable spare parts/ components provided by Equipserv UK Ltd in the course of carrying out authorised maintenance work will be charged to the customer at the agreed rates detailed in Service Plan

Service Plan - No-Contract

The No-Contract Plan is specifically designed to provide a breakdown and repair service to customers who operate waste management equipment and have no formal contract with Equipserv UK Ltd for scheduled service inspection/maintenance of their equipment.

Equipserv UK Ltd will schedule and allocate the required engineering resources to attend any reported breakdown or to carry out remedial/repair work specified and authorised by the customer in the form of a purchase order.

Equipserv UK Ltd will invoice the customer for all agreed and incurred costs which would typically include travel time, mileage, labour, spare parts/components and materials plus any additional out of hour charges that may apply.

Customer authorised breakdowns will be scheduled during normal working hours at the agreed rates Monday to Friday unless requested by the customer when out of hours charges will be incurred.

Administration
Equipserv UK Ltd will make available copies of all relevant maintenance documentation and supporting data on request from the customer.

Service Plan - Budget

This type of service plan is designed specifically for customers who wish to take advantage of a budgeted maintenance plan which will allow them to spread the cost of annual service inspections over 12 monthly payments.

The Service Budget Plan will be specific to the type of equipment to be maintained and full compliance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and the safe operation of the equipment.

Depending on the type of equipment, the plan will include a pre-agreed number of scheduled service visits per annum delivered against pre-defined service inspection tasks specific to the equipment type, its operational environment and its designed application and identifying and reporting on an any repairs, malfunctions or safety issues that require action to safeguard the equipment’s integrity in terms of its efficiency and safe operation.

The Service Budget Plan is inclusive of the recommended number of scheduled service visits per annum, travel to site, lubrication, minor adjustments and an engineer’s written report confirming completion of the scheduled service identifying any remedial or repair work requiring authorisation from the customer in the form of a purchase order number prior to the work commencing.

Typically inclusions under this type of plan would be:

  • Specified pre-planned service visits specific to the equipment type which would include completion of pre-defined service inspection check lists covering:
    • Operational Safety Inspection
    • Electrical Inspection
    • Mechanical Inspection
    • Hydraulic Inspection
    • Equipment Functional Testing
    • Annual Asset Condition Assessments
  • Assessing and reporting on non-compliance with operator duties detailed in the equipment’s operations and maintenance manual.
  • Evaluating and reporting on any customer misuse or equipment damage not covered under the Service Budget Plan
  • Carrying out any remedial work or repairs identified and reported on from the scheduled service inspections with all associated agreed costs being recharged to the customer

NOTE – All breakdowns reported and authorised by the customer will be scheduled during normal working hours Monday to Friday or outside of normal working hours at the agreed rates and subject to a purchase order.

  • Equipserv UK Ltd will make available copies of all relevant maintenance documentation and supporting data defined in the Service Budget Plan on request from the customer
  • All Serviceable and Non Serviceable spare parts/ components supplied by Equipserv UK Ltd in the course of carrying out work under this plan will be recharged to the customer at the agreed rates
  • The following typical Items are not covered under the Maintenance Agreement:
    • Customer Power Supply
    • Customers Isolators/Connector
    • Customer Supply Cable
    • Customer Protection Devices
    • Any auxiliary equipment provided by the customer which is not specified in the
      Service Budget Plan

Exclusions

  • Any repair or malfunctions caused by or attributed to the failure or fluctuation of the customer’s power supply, air conditioning or any other auxiliary equipment not maintained under the Service Budget Plan
  • Any modification, adjustments, repairs or re-siting of the equipment carried out by a third party without prior written consent
  • Any equipment damage caused by the customer or a 3rd party supplier is not covered under the Service Budget Plan and any consequential costs incurred will be recharged to the customer.

Service Plan - Semi Comprehensive

This type of service plan is designed to satisfy the maintenance requirements of waste management equipment on which, due to age and service history, cannot be covered by the Fully Comprehensive Service Plan unless a full refurbishment is undertaken.

The Semi Comprehensive Service Plan will be specific to the type of equipment. It includes inspection and servicing to the manufacturer’s recommendations; and identifying and reporting on any repairs, malfunctions or safety issues that require action to safeguard the equipment’s integrity in terms of its efficiency and safe operation.

The plan will include pre-agreed scheduled service visits per annum delivered against pre-defined service inspection tasks specific to the equipment type, its operational environment and designed application.

The Service Plan is inclusive of travel to site, lubrication, minor adjustments and engineer’s written report identifying recording and taking action to rectify or process any remedial/repair work covered under the specific Semi Comprehensive Service Plan.

The maintenance plan is inclusive of emergency breakdown call out charges, travel time, labour (within normal working hours Monday to Friday) and the replacement of all serviceable parts/components not excluded under the Semi-Comprehensive Service Plan

For remedial/repair work identified from the service inspections which is NOT covered under the specific Maintenance Agreement, Equipserv UK Ltd will request authorisation from the customer in the form of a purchase order number prior to proceeding with the work.

Typical inclusions under this type of plan would be:

  • Specified pre-planned service visits specific to the equipment type, which would include completion of pre-defined service inspection check lists covering:
    • Operational Safety Inspection
    • Electrical Inspection
    • Mechanical Inspection
    • Hydraulic Inspection
    • Equipment Functional Testing
    • Annual Asset Condition Assessments
  • Assessment and reporting on non-compliance with operator duties detailed in the equipment’s Operations and Maintenance Manual
  • Evaluation and reporting on any customer misuse or equipment damage not covered under the Semi Comprehensive Service Plan
  • Conducting or scheduling any remedial work or repairs identified from the service inspection, which are covered under the specific Semi Comprehensive Maintenance Plan
  • Reported breakdowns covered under the Semi-Comprehensive Service Plan will be scheduled during normal working hours Monday to Friday unless requested by the customer when agreed out of hours charges will be incurred

Typical Maintainable Items covered under the Semi Comprehensive Service Plan

  • All electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components detailed in the specific semi-comprehensive service plan
  • Examples of typical Serviceable Items which are included under the Semi Comprehensive Maintenance Plan within acceptable tolerances defined in the Maintenance Agreement UNLESS SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDED due to age, condition, service history or obsolescence.

Examples of typical non-serviceable Items NOT COVERED under the Semi Comprehensive Service Plan but requiring pre-agreed service inspections:-

Mechanical non-serviceable items MUST BE SPECIFICALLY DEFINED depending on the asset’s age, condition, service history or obsolescence, but would include the following:

  • Pin off and Flaps
  • Equipment’s Mainframe
  • Safety Cages/Fencing
  • Loading Hopper

Electrical non-serviceable items MUST BE SPECIFICALLY DEFINED depending on the asset’s age, condition and service history or obsolescence but would include the following:

  • Customer Power Supply
  • Customer Isolators/Connector
  • Customer Supply Cables
  • Customer Protection Devices

Hydraulic non-serviceable items MUST BE SPECIFICALLY DEFINED depending on the asset’s age, condition, service history or obsolescence but would include the following:

  • Hydraulic Rams
  • Hydraulic Pump & Motor
  • Hydraulic Valve Assemblies

General Exclusions that apply under the Semi-Comprehensive Service Plan
Equipment Repairs or Malfunctions:

  • Any repair or malfunction which can be attributed to operator neglect or misuse will be deemed not to be covered under the agreement and any costs incurred may be recharged to the customer
  • Any repairs or malfunction which can be attributed to the end user not carrying operator maintenance duties detailed in the Operation Maintenance Manual
  • Any repair or malfunction caused by or attributed to the failure or malfunction of the customer power supply, air conditioning or any other auxiliary equipment not maintained under the semi-comprehensive service plan
  • Any modification, adjustments, repairs or re-siting of the equipment by a third party without prior written consent
  • Any equipment damage caused by the customer or a 3rd party supplier is not covered under the semi-comprehensive service plan and any consequential costs incurred will be recharged to the customer

Service Plan - Comprehensive

This type of service plan is designed to satisfy the maintenance requirements for new waste management equipment or refurbished equipment, depending on the asset’s age and service history.

The Fully Comprehensive Service Plan will be specific to the type of equipment to be maintained, ensuring full compliance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and the safe operation of the equipment.

The plan will include, as a minimum, pre-agreed service visits delivered against pre-defined service inspection tasks specific to the equipment type, its operational environment and its designed application, as well as identifying, recording and actioning any remedial/repair work covered under the specific Fully Comprehensive Service Plan.

The Fully Comprehensive Service Plan is fully inclusive of travel to site, emergency breakdown call out charges (within normal working hours Monday to Friday) and the replacement of all serviceable parts and components unless excluded under the Fully Comprehensive Service Plan.

Typically inclusions under this type of plan would be:

  • Specified pre-planned service visits specific to the equipment type which would include completion of pre-defined service inspection check lists covering:
    • Operational Safety Inspection
    • Electrical Inspection
    • Mechanical Inspection
    • Hydraulic Inspection
    • Equipment Functional Testing
    • Annual Asset Condition Assessments

  • Reporting breakdowns covered under the Fully Comprehensive Service Plan will be scheduled during normal working hours Monday to Friday unless requested by the customer when agreed out-of-hours charges will be incurred.
  • Equipserv UK Ltd will make available copies of all relevant maintenance documentation and supporting data defined in the Fully Comprehensive Service Plan on request from the customer.

Any equipment damage caused by the customer or a 3rd party supplier is not covered under the semi-comprehensive service plan and any consequential costs incurred will be recharged to the customer as final bullet point in section headed General Exclusions that apply under the Fully Comprehensive Service Plan Equipment Repairs or Malfunctions.
